There is a monster – a very strange monster – who lives in the Gobby Desert. Have you ever heard of the Gobby Desert? No? Well, I’m not surprised; it’s a secret desert in the country of Shagaska, and we all know where that is.
But we were talking about the very strange monster living in the Gobby Desert. It’s called the Tickle Monster! Yes, the Tickle Monster – and I bet you can’t even begin to imagine what it looks like?
Well, let me tell you. The tickle monster has a large head with orange hair, orange eyebrows, and orange eyes. And its favourite colour is – can you guess? Yes, it’s yellow! Wait – what? What did you think I was going to say? Its teeth are big like tombstones, and they are orange too – and its breath smells of satsumas!
The Tickle Monster has also got a long body and walks on all fours, with long, hairy legs – and, of course, the hair on each of its legs is all orange as well!
It doesn’t eat food like we eat; it lives on a diet of tickles and laughter. Oh yes it does! Because on each of its four hands are seven long fingers, and it can use each of their long, lovely fingers to tickle its friends and make them laugh. And boy do they laugh when they’re tickled; great gales of hooting laughter, and it’s a beautiful sound!
But I wonder if you’ll ever hear it, because the Tickle Monster only lives in the Gobby Desert, and they love spending time in the sunshine with their friends, playing with their friends and feasting on laughter.
We could all learn a lesson from the Tickle Monster, shouldn’t we?
